Atlanta is trying to acquire Gordon Hayward
Atlanta is trying to acquire Boston forward Gordon Hayward (30 years old, 203 cm), reports Yahoo! Sports.
Hayward has yet to make a decision on the option to renew his contract with Boston for the 20/21 season worth $ 34.2 million. The parties agreed to extend the deadline until Thursday.
If Hayward ditches the option and enters the free agency market, the Hawks will have enough payroll space to sign a new forward contract. A sign-n-trade transaction is also possible.
The 30-year-old striker missed most of the playoffs last season with an ankle injury. In 52 regular season games, he averaged 17.5 points.
